Welcome to 5th Port Dollymount Sea Scouts
5th Port Dollymount Sea Scouts are located on the Bull Island in Dublin Bay. Our den is located by the Bull Island cottages just over the wooden bridge.
There has been a near continuous scouting presence on the island since 1912, and 5th Port scouts are more than proud of the great tradition of scouting which has been passed down to them since the early days of the scouting movement.
Our Scout Group is home to six sections catering for over 300 scouts of various ages. We have two Beavers Sections (ages 6-8) that meet on Saturdays at 11:30am and 1:00 pm, three Cub Sections (ages 9-11) that meet on Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7:00pm , and Scout Sections (ages 12-18) that meets on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
We currently have approximately 350 members with many of them second and third generation scouts. We maintain a waitlist for those interested in joining. Please see here to sign up
The aim of the Scout Group is to encourage the physical, intellectual, character, emotional, social, and spiritual development of young people so that they may achieve their full potential and, as responsible citizens, to improve society.
In 5th Port as Sea Scouts we use a nautical Framework to provide a setting for our programme and to help develop these attributes and life long skill sets
