It can be a little tricky to book a training course or event on my.scouts.ie. The following might help. Training event codes organised by our province (Northern Province) start with code NP, i.e. NP-BAS-18-1024. It is possible to take part in training events in other provinces with DP (Dublin Province) also being close
Training code format:

How to Book A Course
1. Log into my.scouts.ie using your credentials
2. Stay on 'My Profile' and scroll down to the calendar
3. For training such as ‘Becoming A Scouter’, click on the ‘TRAINING EVENTS’ tab
Note: my.scouts.ie will only display a maximum of 2 events on the right. To find other events you need to hover over the individual calendar entries to see the event title.
Only events that show the ‘BOOK NOW’ button still have spaces available.
Click on ‘BOOK NOW’ and the site will guide you through the remainder of the booking process.
Please note: Once leaders have become active participants in the group we will normally reimburse or at least substitute the training cost. Please check with your section leader beforehand.

How to Book A Refresher Course
For refresher courses every 3 years you can either book a Safeguarding Course using a similar process to above or alternatively complete the online training course. This can be done using the scouttraining.ie/ portal and completeing a safeguarding training there. After a few days it should appear on your MyScouts profile. Note you may need to register the first time you use the portal. Try to use the same email as used for myScouts.
